BASIC PURPOSE:
Provide effective and efficient .NET programming skills to support day-to-day operation of the company’s Internet/intranet strategy. Takes the lead role in analyzing, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and implementing solutions for complex business problems. May involve server application development, integration development, component development, and /or database connectivity. Provides guidance and ***istance to programmers and project management skills for IT projects.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide the technical leadership to resolve an end-user request or incident report. ***ist the business unit in defining requirements for services.
Design, document, and recommend .NET programming solutions.
Establishes schedules for analysis, programming, and project completion/implementation.
Program, test, debug, and document approved solution using .NET programming (refer to Dimensions – 6.0 and 7.0 Technical Expertise).
Prepare comprehensive test plans to ensure program performance and efficiency.
Coordinate user functional testing with appropriate individuals.
Prepare written documentation to guide the deployment of approved solution throughout the software development cycle.
Coordinate implementation of approved solution with appropriate individuals.
Report progress.
Provide on-call support as necessary.
Act as a mentor and technical resource to programmers and programmer analysts.
Propose innovative and creative solutions to improve business unit productivity, and/or business results.
Provide project leadership and management. May involve directing other programmer/analysts ***igned to work on the project.
Continue to develop related insurance business comprehension and technical knowledge.
