I am a computer professional with over 12 years experience building workflow applications using Lotus Notes. Having been recently laid off, I want to take this opportunity to begin a career with .NET. I have experience with Visual Basic (similar to LotusScript) and have six months experience converting Lotus Notes screens over to functional ASP.NET screens. I am willing to start at Junior level and work my way up. I just want to be prepared when the next opportunity for employment happens for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to make this transition? Training cl***es? Boot camp? Certification? What do employers look for when the .NET experience is lacking?
Thank you in advance for your time and knowledge,
Dave
