Application Developer (.Net)

National Heritage Academies (NHA) is searching for an Application Developer to join our Student Applications team who is responsible for advising and architecting as well as developing software solutions in support of important organizational initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position will have 3-5+ years of experience with Microsoft .net development technologies with proven success designing, developing and integrating enterprise level applications. 

 

The selected individual will report directly to our IT Student Applications Manager and will work out of our Service Center which is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This person will be solution focused, quality driven and will contribute on a team of talented and dedicated individuals.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical design, software development and systems analysis activities for business applications, reports, and sites
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and software defect resolution as part of a software release process
  • Configure, maintain and support student information systems and related environments
  • Collaborate with team to research, select and implement software development tools, controls, techniques and technologies 
  • Advise and provide direction on architectural decisions and strategies
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Frameworks and C#.
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Windows Services, Web Services, ASP.NET, XML.
  • RDBMS * Microsoft SQL Server experience utilizing SQL, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with source control systems (SourceSafe, Team Foundation Server)
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree

·         3-5+ years of .net development experience

·         Extensive experience working with Enterprise Systems

·         Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities

·         Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical people
