A very good book on LINQ!
Book:
Pro LINQ: Language Integrated Query in C# 2008
Author: Joseph C. Rattz, Jr.
Reported By: Chris Wisniewski
Language Integrated Query (LINQ) is the latest programming language, developed by Microsoft, that integrates with C#. This language is used to simplify communications between a .NET language and database sources. This language also simplifies production of .NET database application production. This is accomplished by LINQ providing the ability to query data in .NET objects, XML, SQL, Data Sets and or any other database. In addition, you can also query Operating System objects from active directory.
This book is packed with detailed coding examples from beginning to end. These coding examples show you how to write and use LINQ within your code for common database operations. They also show you how to use LINQ from within Delegates and Generic Lists and how to avoid concurrency errors. I would recommend this book to my fellow programmers. It is detailed, well written, and organized.
